Artist Statement

My work is a celebration of the beauty in the everyday, and especially the beauty in nature. This installation is a collection of small house plants that I love and would love to grow. Unfortunately, I have the opposite of a green thumb and have never had any luck with actually growing plants. This work is a way for myself and others to enjoy the brightness of houseplants without having to worry about accidentally letting the plants die. Each plant has it’s own character and it’s own personality, which comes out even more with the addition of the blooming colors and unique planters.
