Artist Statement
As an artist, activist, and teacher, I constantly think about my place in the world and question whether I am doing enough to make others’ lives better. Sometimes, I forget that it is important to take care of myself before taking care of others, both in life and in art. The pieces in this collection reflect my stepping back to find moments of peace in nature and and the world around me before plunging back into a world of beautiful chaos.
